GREEN INNOVATOR ACADEMY 2025

The APAC Green Innovator Academy is designed to foster the next generation of young green innovators committed to sustainability with entrepreneurial mindset in the APAC region. Through dialogue with young innovators from diverse cultural backgrounds and the exploration of real-world solutions, participants will develop a deeper understanding of multicultural perspectives.

Participants will engage in a series of lectures, field trips to partner’s countries, and workshops to discuss the solution, and present at the conclusion of the program. The program equips them with the skills to collaborate across national and cultural boundaries, enabling them to drive innovative and collective impact toward a sustainable future. 16 selected delegates from ASEAN, 4 from Hongkong, and 20 from Japan will participate the program of GIA 2025.

Who can Apply?

Any ASEAN Nationality or Timor Leste domicile within ASEAN or Timor Leste | Youth between 18-24 years old | Able to communicate in English | Willing to attend/participate in entire program | Willing to travel to selected country above on designated period | Having a valid passport with expiration date above 6 months

7. Announcement of the selected delegates: 3rd August 2025
8. Complete program payment before 17:00 (UTC+7), 5th of August. Any payment delay may cause disqualification and cancellation and grant will be awarded to the waiting list candidate.

Program and Pricing

All selected delegates are required to follow all activities as listed below;

  1. Join the Welcome and Opening Ceremony Online on 20 September 2025 (Full day)
  2. Join field trip to Thailand or Philippines or HongKong or Japan based on selection
  3. Join lectures on 11th Oct, 18th Oct, 1st Nov, and 15th Nov at 14:00-18:00 JST (To be confirmed)
  4. Join Final Pitching on 29 or 30 November 2025

    Any violation or cancellation on program participation will affect the certification and grant reimbursement.

Welcome & Orientation: Welcome remarks, icebreaker, overview of summit objectives, and introduction to digital cities and urban innovation in Bangkok.
Site Visit 1: Microsoft Thailand (One Bangkok). Overview of Digital Sustainability Efforts in Bangkok. 
Site Visit 2: Talat Noi, Jaroen Krubg
Practical learning about how this historic community integrates traditional culture with modern urban innovation, focusing on smart green spaces, community-led restoration, and sustainable living practices.

7th October 2025
Site Visit 1: Thai Union
The site visit will focus on learning how TNU’s integration of digitalization and sustainable practices in manufacturing, including R&D, automation, energy efficiency, and eco-friendly material handling.
Site Visit 2: Thai Beverage Group
Workshop: Green Tech for Industry – Youth-led design session where teams brainstorm and develop concepts for “green tech” solutions leveraging digital tools to address environmental challenges in industrial contexts.

Site Visit 1: VEKIN.tech Thailand
Learning how VEKIN.tech uses AI and blockchain for environmental data, carbon credit verification, and real-time sustainability tracking. Discussion on technology’s role in environmental goals
Site Visit 2: UNESCAP. Welcome remarks and an overview of UN/ESCAP by Dr. Antika Preeyanon, Communications and Knowledge Management Section. Presentation on SDG Outlook in Asia and the Pacific by Mr. Christian Mortelliti, Sustainable Development Specialist
