Study in the University of Sheffield: International Undergraduate Scholarship 2026

The University of Sheffield is offering scholarships of £2,500 for each year (subject to a 60% average) of your undergraduate degree. The maximum value is £10,000 for four year programmes.

1. Scholarship Form

The scholarship will be awarded automatically as a tuition fee discount to eligible students with no additional application form required.

– You must commence your studies of an undergraduate degree at the University of Sheffield in September 2026. All undergraduate degree courses are included except for Medicine (A100/A101) and Dentistry (A200).

– You must choose the University of Sheffield as your firm or insurance choice before 4pm (UK time) on 3 June 2026.

  1. The scholarship is applicable to each subsequent academic year of study, subject to achieving 60% (wmg) or above and achieving a minimum of 120 credits in the previous academic year. The scholarship is not applicable to any compulsory or optional years in industry, work placements or year abroad.
  2. You must enter a degree programme at the University of Sheffield in year 1. If you are entering in year 2 or year 3, you would be eligible for this scholarship, providing you are not receiving a scholarship/award as part of a collaborative programme with your home institution.
  3. The scholarship will be awarded automatically if you choose the University of Sheffield as your firm or insurance choice before 4.00pm (UK time) on 3 June 2026 – no additional scholarship application is required in the first or any subsequent years.
  4. The scholarship cannot be awarded in conjunction with any other scholarship or discount offered by the University unless explicitly stated.
  5. The scholarship cannot be awarded in conjunction with any funding (full or partial) from an external sponsor**, excluding a loan, which has to be paid back in full. If you are receiving a loan (which has to be paid back in full) from an organisation to which we offer a discount, you are not able to combine this scholarship with the discount – the most valuable award will take precedence.
  6. Students who are studying at the University on a non-USIC Foundation year are not eligible for this scholarship.
  7. The scholarship will take the form of a tuition fee reduction only.
  8. You must be self-funded and classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.
  9. You must not be a sponsored student*.
  10. The scholarships are for full-time students only. Students studying online or via distance learning are not eligible for a scholarship.
  11. For scholarship purposes all MArch programmes are considered as postgraduate taught programmes and are not eligible for this or any undergraduate scholarships.
  12. This scholarship cannot be deferred to a future year of entry. If you decide to defer entry to another year you forfeit this award.
  13. It is your responsibility to ensure you receive any funding you are eligible for. Funding cannot be backdated to previous years regardless of eligibility.

* A sponsored student is defined as being an individual in receipt of a total sum of funds from either the University or an external organisation** that matches or exceeds the original tuition fee required by the University.

** Government or governmental organisation – international, national or regional; research council; charity; private enterprise; or any similar organisation.

Study in the University of London: GREAT Scholarships 2026

GREAT Scholarships 2026, launched by the British Council’s Study UK campaign together with a number of other UK universities, supports students from 18 countries to access world-class UK higher education opportunities.

The Study UK campaign is offering scholarships from 71 UK universities to students across 18 countries around the world. It offers an exciting opportunity for students from these countries to get financial support to pursue postgraduate study in the UK. The scholarship programme offers awards of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing 1-year postgraduate study in the UK. The scholarship amount will be deducted from tuition fees.

1. Eligible programmes

All full-time postgraduate taught (on campus) programmes beginning in September 2026 are eligible. Part-time and two-year programmes are not eligible.

To be considered for an award, applicants must:

– Be an overseas fee-paying student.
– Hold an Indonesian or Pakistani passport.
– Hold an offer for a 1-year postgraduate taught programme at SOAS University of London beginning in September 2026.

Awards will be based on a combination of academic merit and the information given on the application form.

The GREAT Scholarships are sponsored by SOAS University of London and the British Council.

If you are successful in your application for this scholarship, you will be required to pay the CAS deposit of £4,000 as part of the conditions to accept the award. The CAS deposit is only refundable in a limited set of circumstances.

You should be mindful of this if you are accepting this scholarship with a conditional offer.

You can apply for multiple scholarships and discounts, but only one can be accepted and applied to your tuition fees. Scholarships and discounts (e.g. alumni, family, or partnership discount) cannot be combined, so if you’re successful in more than one, you will need to choose the option with the highest value.

The application deadline is 11:59pm (BST) 24 May 2026 .
