To be eligible for the KAIST University Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be an international student (non-Korean nationality).
  • For PhD: Hold a master’s degree or expect to obtain it by the time of enrollment.
  • For Master’s: Hold a bachelor’s degree or expect to obtain it by the time of enrollment.
  • Have an educational background equivalent to Korea’s bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • If of Korean ethnicity, have completed all previous education outside South Korea, with parents who are not citizens of South Korea.
  • Meet English language proficiency requirements.
