Study at the University of Bristol: Think Big scholarship 2026

The Think Big international scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students could help you fund your UK study at the University of Bristol. The University of Bristol invested up to £5 million in Think Big scholarships to help international students come to Bristol in 2026.

1. Overview

Think Big undergraduate scholarships are valued at £6,500 and £13,000 for up to four years of study.

Think Big postgraduate scholarships are valued at £6,500, £13,000 and £26,000 for your first year of study.

You can apply if you:

– have already applied to start an eligible course in September 2026;
– and you are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes.

You do not need to have received an offer to study before submitting an international scholarship application.

Study at the University of Manchester: Global Futures Scholarships 2026

The University of Manchester offers more than 300 awards to international students starting their studies in September 2026. The total value of scholarships offered will be more than £6 million and are open to students applying for undergraduate and master’s degrees.

Undergraduate awards

1. Award details

Each award comprises £10,000 for the first year of study with a further £10,000 in the second and third years. Continuation of the award is conditional on attainment of 60% in final exams and assessments each year. Scholarships will be awarded as a discount on published international tuition fees.

1) Applications will be considered from international fee-paying students domiciled in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand or Vietnam.

2) To be considered as domiciled, you must have predominantly lived there during the last three years.

3) You must be applying for direct first-year entry in 2026 and have, or be working towards, one of the following qualifications:

–  A-Levels (including international A-Levels)
– Advanced Placement (AP) Exams
– IB Diploma
– Integrated Programme (Singapore)
– STPM (Malaysia)
– UEC (Malaysia)
– Indian Standard XII (when taken in an eligible South East Asian country)

4) You must have a conditional or unconditional offer to study a full-time course at Manchester and submit an online scholarship application form by 21 April 2026.

5) Applications will be assessed on any previous exams, predicted grades in the above-listed qualifications and the strength of the personal statement.

6) You must be self-funded (not sponsored).

7) You must have selected The University of Manchester as your ‘Firm’ UCAS choice by 29 May 2026.

Not eligible

1) Applicants for Medicine (MBChB), Dentistry (BDS), Architecture, or any courses with an integrated foundation year.
2) Applicants who’ve previously studied at a higher education institution or high school in the UK.
3) Applicants for blended and distance learning programmes.

You must submit an online scholarship application form by 21 April 2026.

The form will be emailed to all offer-holders who’re considered eligible.

All successful applicants will then be notified by 22 May 2026.

Master’s awards

1. Award details

These scholarships of £10,000 will be awarded based on academic excellence and the quality of your online application form.

Scholarships will be awarded as a discount on published overseas tuition fees

1) Applications will be considered from international fee-paying students domiciled in: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand or Vietnam.

2) To be considered as domiciled, you must have predominantly lived there during the last three years.

3) You must hold an unconditional or conditional offer to study a full-time, on-campus master’s course at The University of Manchester starting in September 2026; and submit an online scholarship application form by 30 April 2026. The form will be emailed to all eligible offer-holders.

4) You’ll be considered based on academic merit and the quality of your scholarship application, but also with a balance by gender, domicile and course in the allocation of the awards.

5) You must be self-funded (not sponsored).

Not eligible

1) Applicants for MBA, MPhil, Master of Architecture (MArch), Architecture and Urbanism (MA), Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA), Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Clinical Medicine and Dentistry degrees.

2) Some ‘Master’s by Research’ courses are also ineligible (see terms and conditions below).

3) Applicants who’ve studied a bachelor’s degree outside of the eligible countries in South East Asia.

4) Blended, part-time and distance learning programmes (including programmes hosted by one of The University of Manchester’s Global Centres).
