To be eligible for the ARES Belgian Government Scholarships, applicants must:
- Nationality: Be a national of, reside in, and work in one of the 31 eligible ARES partner countries.
- Academic Qualifications:
- For specialised master’s and continuing education courses: Hold a diploma comparable to a 2nd cycle diploma (300 ECTS credits) from a Belgian university.
- For specialised bachelor’s programs: Hold a diploma comparable to a 1st cycle diploma (180 ECTS credits) from Belgian higher education.
- Experience: Have at least two years of relevant professional experience after completing a bachelor’s degree for specialised bachelors, and a master’s degree for specialised masters and continuing education courses.
- Age: The candidate must have held the relevant academic degree for a maximum of 20 years at the time the course begins. This maximum period is increased by one year per event of childbirth and/or adoption.
