Misk Global Forum 2023 was held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 15-17 November 2023. This event is hosted by The Mohammed bin Salman Foundation – “MiSK”, an initiative of His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz – Founder & Chairman of the board. The Misk Global Forum (MGF) is the biggest youth forum in the region. It is an annual flagship event hosted by the Misk Foundation and is dedicated to empowering and connecting young leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs globally. MGF serves as a dynamic platform for fostering vibrant discussions, exchanging ideas, and creating networking opportunities to nurture youth potential, encourage collaboration, and catalyze positive global change.
The theme this year is The Big Now, encouraging young individuals to think ambitiously and act promptly, channeling their energy towards proactive problem-solving. Big represents ambitious thinking, and Now highlights timely action. Within this overarching theme, we’re emphasizing the sub-themes: Think Big, Act Now, urging young leaders to dream big, set bold goals, and take immediate and purposeful action to bring their visions to life.
During the program, the AYO representatives highlighted many important points including the importance of building the cooperation with diverse stakeholders, knowledge sharing during the forum, and the program’s outcomes. According to Cameron Tan, the Director of AYO Research Center, the wide range of speakers who shared their insights at the forum was eye-opening. Hearing some insights and sharing from the Saudi Arabian ministers as well as other renowned speakers such as Chris Gardner and Robert Herjavec allows the participants to explore opportunities globally.
Karen another representatives of AYO also mentioned that the whole event allowed the international community to witness how progressive Saudi Arabia has been and their willingness to show that the young leaders of Saudi Arabia wish to have a spot in the international forums and have access to a wider range of opportunities across the globe. It is good to witness how everyone is linked through diversity.
At ASEAN Youth Organization, we provide opportunities to the youth to learn, connect, and grow together by attending international events. It will allow AYO and the members to strengthen the global partnerships with partners.
