The East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship is an esteemed opportunity for master’s and doctoral students from Asia, the Pacific, and the United States. This fellowship provides full funding to pursue graduate study at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa (UHM), while participating in educational, cultural, and leadership programs at the East-West Center. The program fosters a diverse, international community of future leaders.
Individuals who are citizens or permanent residents of the following countries are eligible to apply:
Bachelor’s Degree: Applicants must hold a 4-year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution.
Grade Point Average: A minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in the last four semesters or six quarters of undergraduate study and in all post-baccalaureate work is required.
The East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowships support graduate study at the University of Hawai‘i in fields that align with the goals and objectives of the East-West Center. Fellowships are awarded annually through an international competition.

The TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program is a fully-funded initiative by Taiwan’s International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF) to cultivate talent from developing countries. Established in 1998, it partners with 18 Taiwanese universities to offer 29 English-taught programs (27 Master’s, 2 PhD) across fields like agriculture, public health, engineering, and business.
