LPDP Scholarship Batch 2

LPDP stands for Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan, which translates to the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education. It’s a public service agency under the Indonesian Ministry of Finance https://lpdp.kemenkeu.go.id/. LPDP has two main programs:

1. Scholarship programs

They provide financial support for Indonesian students to pursue higher education, both in Indonesia and abroad. Their goal is to develop future leaders and professionals in various fields important to the country’s development https://www.idp.com/indonesia/blog/lpdp-scholarship/?lang=en.

2. Research funding

Currently, LPDP Scholarship Batch 2 is open! Find the details below. 

Regular Scholarship

This is the main program, funding Master’s and Doctoral degrees in various fields both domestically and internationally. You can apply with or without an unconditional Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from your chosen university.

1. With a LoA: You can only choose one university and program based on your LoA.

2. Without a LoA: You can choose up to three universities and programs that are similar or related in the field.

 

Priority Scholarships

These are targeted programs for specific fields deemed crucial for Indonesia’s development. They might have different requirements and application processes than the Regular Scholarship. An example is the Diktiristek-LPDP-OKP scholarship for Master’s programs in renewable energy and innovation in collaboration with the University of New South Wales

  1. Full tuition fees
  2. Monthly living stipend
  3. Health insurance
  4. Settlement allowance
  5. Research allowance (for Doctoral programs)
  6. Funding for thesis/dissertation research
  1. Indonesian citizen
  2. Meet the minimum GPA requirement (varies depending on program)
  3. Age limit (varies depending on the program)
  4. No record of criminal offenses
  5. Willing to return to Indonesia and contribute to the nation’s development after completing studies (bond period applies)

The application period for LPDP Batch 2 this year is currently open. It started on June 19, 2024, and will close on July 18, 2024

  1. Administrative Selection: Here, your application documents are reviewed for eligibility and completeness.
  2. Scholastic Aptitude Test (if applicable): This is required if you don’t have a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from your chosen university.
  3. Substantive Selection (interview): This stage assesses your motivations, goals, and fit for the program.
