The Fulbright Foreign Student Program enables graduate students, young professionals and artists from abroad to study and conduct research in the United States. The Fulbright Foreign Student Program operates in more than 160 countries worldwide. Approximately 4,000 foreign students receive Fulbright scholarships each year.

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program is administered by binational Fulbright Commissions/Foundations or U.S. Embassies. All Foreign Student Program applications are processed by these offices.

UFV: International Excellence Entrance Scholarship

Brief Information

The University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) is in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada. UFV is a great place to study because it has a wide variety of study options, work opportunities, and extra-curricular activities.

CAD $20,000 ($5,000 per year for four years)

You do not need to apply for this scholarship. You are automatically considered when you apply to UFV if you meet the eligibility criteria. Preference is given to students applying to programs that award bachelor degrees.

UFV Application deadline

UFV has three semesters with different application deadlines.

Our semesters are:

  • Fall: September to December
  • Winter: January to April
  • Summer: May to August

The summer semester has two sessions (May-June and July-August) and the deadlines are the same for both sessions.

The following are the earliest application dates for each semester. We confirm acceptance in the order we receive applications. Apply as early as possible, as your program may fill up quickly.

  • Winter semester: May 1 to September 15
  • Summer semester: October 1 to February 1 
  • Fall semester: October 1 to April 15 

Notice of acceptance to your program

It may take up to six weeks to confirm that you have (or have not) been accepted to your program. After you complete your application, you can log in to the Applicant Portal at any time to check:

  • The status of your application.
  • If we have received your official documents.
  • Which documents we have not received.

Deadlines for fee payment

When you receive an offer of admission, you must submit payment to confirm your acceptance. If you do not meet the payment deadline, you will have to re-apply for a future semester.

We must receive your payment in full by the following dates:

  • Fall semester: May 1
  • Winter semester: October 1
  • Summer semester: February 15

Deadlines for deferring an offer of admission

Have you been accepted to UFV and had a change of plans that prevent you from starting classes when expected? You need to request a deferral. For more information on how to submit a deferral request, please visit the Deferring an Offer of Admission page.

We must receive your completed deferral request form on or before the following dates:

  • Fall semester: August 4
  • Winter semester: December 5
  • Summer semester: April 14

Apply to UFV as an international student.

For this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a minimum overall CGPA (cumulative GPA) of 3.75 on all approved grade 12 courses
  • Apply to a degree program
  • Have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 for each of your previous years at UFV to maintain the scholarship

Note: Short-term visiting and exchange students are not eligible for entrance scholarships.

UWA International Scholarships Undergraduate 2023

Brief Information

The University of Western Australia is offering scholarships to high-achieving students across the globe who study with us.

This significant scholarship will be awarded to high-achieving undergraduate and postgraduate students, from selected countries, who apply for particular courses at the University.

If you’re looking to study in Australia in 2023, undergraduate students can receive scholarships of up to AUD$48,000* over 4 years on eligible courses or AUD$36,000* over 3 years; postgraduate students can receive up to AUD$24,000* over two years on eligible courses.

The Scholarship is an annual tuition fee discount for the normal full-time duration of the awardee’s course as specified in their letter of offer. The value of the Scholarship is determined by the applicant’s equivalent Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or UWA weighted average mark (WAM).

This significant scholarship will be awarded to high-achieving undergraduate and postgraduate students, from selected countries, who apply for particular courses at the University.

General eligibility

Students from all countries can apply. You will need to:

  • have received an offer for an undergraduate or postgraduate course at The University of Western Australia.
  • have achieved an equivalent:
    • minimum ATAR 85.00; or
    • minimum WAM 65.00
    • If studying an approved International Academic Pathway (Articulation Program), students must have achieved a WAM equivalent of more than 75.00

Undergraduate eligibility

To be eligible to be considered for the scholarship, a candidate must be applying for an eligible undergraduate bachelor degree or Assured Pathway course. The following exclusions apply:

  • Assured Pathway to Medicine
  • Assured Pathway to Pharmacy
  • Assured Pathway to Dental Medicine

Nanyang Scholarship

Brief Information

The Nanyang Scholarship, NTU’s foremost undergraduate scholarship is awarded to outstanding freshmen pursuing undergraduate programmes. Nanyang Scholarship recognizes students who excel academically, demonstrate strong leadership potential, and possess outstanding co-curricular records. Hence, it is important to be prepared at each stage of the application and interview process.

Please read the information below before submitting your application. If you’re short-listed, be sure to leave a great impression at the scholarship interview. 

Nanyang Scholarship covers up to the normal programme duration on condition that the scholarship holder maintain a record of good academic performance and exemplary conduct.

  • Full coverage of subsidised tuition fees (after Tuition Grant).
  • Living allowance of S$6,500 per academic year.
  • Accommodation allowance of up to S$2,000 per academic year.
    (Applicable to scholarship holders who reside in NTU hostels only.)
  • Travel grant of up to S$5,000 for an overseas programme subject to terms and conditions in the Travel Grant Form.
  • Computer allowance of S$1,750 (one-off).
  • No bond is attached to the Nanyang Scholarship apart from the three-year bond applicable to all Singapore PRs and international students under the MOE Tuition Grant Scheme.
 
  • Open to all nationalities.
  • Successful awardees should read a full-time undergraduate degree programme. The scholarship will cover the years of study^ at NTU.
  • Possess outstanding Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ level, Diploma awarded by a polytechnic in Singapore, NUS High School Diploma, IB Diploma or Year 12 equivalent qualifications.
  • Excellent co-curricular records.
  • Strong leadership qualities and potential.

^ For the Biomedical Sciences & Chinese Medicine Programme, the scholarship will cover only the first three years of study in NTU.
